SAPPHIRE QUEEN’S WINNING ANSWER

Miss Bacolod MassKara 2024 Princess Ella Olmilla slays the final Q&A to clinch the coveted crown to mark the celebration of the 45th MassKara Festival.

QUESTION: If you were mayor, what would you do for Bacolod City?

ANSWER: If I were the mayor of Bacolod City, I would prioritize four things: innovation, inclusivity, sustainability, and culture.

Innovation means I will be taking some risks and opportunities to embrace new technology to make Bacolod City a pioneer when it comes to new technology, artificial intelligence and the like.

When we talk about inclusivity, I will make sure that no Bacolodnon is left behind. Everyone will be included, may it be the LGBTQIA+ community, the children or the elders of our society.

For sustainability, I would like to ensure that we are not compromising our environment when it comes to progress and development.

And lastly, culture. Even though we are already embracing progress and development as a super city, I would like to make sure that embedded in us is the culture of being a Bacolodnon.

May the MassKara spirit stay with us because we are Bacolod City, we are a tapestry woven with modernity and culture.
