The Mayor Albee Benitez Beach Volleyball Tournament is returning for its second edition with three age-group divisions at the University of St. La Salle Sandbox in Bacolod City.

According to Bacolod PIO, the 17-and-under boys’ and girls’ tournament is scheduled from October 12 to 13 and from October 18 to 20, while the open men’s and women’s tournament is from October 21 to 24.

This year’s tournament will feature top talents from various schools, both local and national, promising thrilling competition and intense matchups.

Over 50 teams have already signed up to participate across both categories.

Last year, the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses pair of Genesa Eslapor and Sophia Pagara emerged as champions in the women’s open category, while the Verayo’s Grill of Alexander Cabatuan and Ranran Abdilla ruled the men’s side.

This tournament is organized by the Volleyball Association of Negros Island, Inc. and sanctioned by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation./ASC, WDJ
