DON SALVADOR BENEDICTO — Employees from Negros Power and the Guardians of the Environment participated in a tree planting activity held in the mountainous region of Don Salvador Benedicto, which was also attended by Municipal Vice Mayor Nehemiah Joe dela Cruz.

The program, spearheaded by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) on Sunday, September 29, 2024, is part of the IBP’s advocacy for “Justice For Environment.”

Atty. Gerry Llena, president of the IBP in Negros Occidental, expressed gratitude to Negros Power for being one of the major sponsors of the activity.

In total, over 500 individuals from various organizations, government employees, institutions, and indigenous peoples in the province participated in the tree planting.

It is estimated that over 2,000 trees were planted by all the participants, including almaciga, bacan, narra, and acacia species.

This activity is one of the programs undertaken by Negros Power as a commitment to environmental conservation and the protection of natural resources. (PR)
