The Rizal St. Gerrard Charity Foundation Golden Coolers swept the Negros ICC Blue Hawks, 25-18, 25-21, 25-15, to move up to second place in the 2024 MPVA Season at the Bacoor Strike Gym in Cavite.

Stacey Denise Lopez led the balanced attack for the Golden Coolers with 10 points on 10 attacks as they claimed their sixth straight win for a 7-1 win-loss record.

Johna Denise Dolorito and Heart Bio chipped in seven points each, while Negrense Joan Doguna and Hiromi Osada added six and five points, respectively, for Rizal.

Andrea Caparal and Jehiel Moraga emerged as the top performers for the inaugural season runner-up Blue Hawks, which capped the first round of eliminations with a 3-5 record.

This was the Blue Hawks’ third consecutive defeat in the tournament.

The Blue Hawks will return to action against the Marikina Lady Shoemasters in Marikina City on September 29./ASC, WDJ
