Cops seize P1.3-M ‘shabu’

Drug enforcement teams of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized P1.319 million worth of shabu from three individuals in separate buy-busts conducted in three days.

At 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, alias “Stephen” yielded P918,000 of the prohibited substance during the operation in Purok Pablo Torre, Barangay Vista Alegre.

In a report, the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) said the 45-year-old suspect sold a sachet of shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover policeman.

Operatives also found in his possession eight plastic sachets of shabu, weighing 135 grams with a standard drug price of P6,800 per gram, along with a sling bag and a digital weighing scale.

On Wednesday, September 11, alias “Nene,” 37, was arrested by personnel of Police Station 7 in Purok San Jose Taytay, Barangay Alijis.

The suspect yielded seven grams of shabu worth P47,600 after selling a sachet of the prohibited substance for P500 to a police poseur-buyer.

On Tuesday, September 10, operatives of Police Station 2 arrested alias “Alfredo,” 54, in Purok Lubi, Barangay 3.

The suspect sold a sachet of shabu worth P500 to an undercover police officer. Also found in his possession was 52 grams of the same prohibited substance valued at P353,600.

The operating units are preparing charges against the suspects for violation of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002. (PNA)
