PLDT High Speed Hitters head coach Rald Ricafort expressed his delight at the emergence of “magic bunot” Kiesha Bedonia in their recent PVL Reinforced Conference games.
Ricafort praised the Negros Occidental’s Talisay City-native volleybelle for providing a crucial offensive boost off the bench for the High Speed Hitters.
“Kahit nung last conference naman, siya ‘yung bunot, siya ‘yung immediate namin eh,” Ricafort said after their 21-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-19 victory against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
“Ayaw ko rin naman na agad-agad ibigay ‘yung mabigat na pressure with starting [her], pero kung gagana din naman agad, ‘yun naman talaga role niya dito sa team,” he added.
The 21-year-old Bedonia, who delivered 16 points in PLDT’s win over Choco Mucho, is also grateful to Ricafort for trusting her, even in the crucial stretch of the match for the High Speed Hitters.
“Sa akin po, first po talaga ‘yung tiwala na binigay sa akin ng coaches sa buong game, and pinakita ko lang kung ano ‘yung pinagtrainingan namin and inano namin ‘yung goal namin,” Bedonia said.
“Sobrang laking bagay po sa akin kasi na-boost din ‘yung confidence ko and ‘yung pang wala ng pressure every game,” the Negrense volleybelle added.
Bedonia and the High Speed Hitters will be facing the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in a knockout quarterfinals game on Tuesday, August 27./ASC, WDJ
