The Silay Lokal Football Club made a good impression in their first-ever out-of-town competition with their quarterfinals finish in the Manila Youth Football League (MYFL) held recently at the Chelsea Blue Pitch Makati Circuit in Makati City.
The squad, which is composed of players from Silay City and St. John’s Institute in Bacolod City, had a good run in the Under-10 category before losing to MFC Blue in the quarterfinals.
“Great effort by our U-10 coaches and players in reaching the cup quarterfinals for the Born 2014 Mix of the recently-concluded MYFL 2024,” Silay Lokal FC wrote on their Facebook page.
“Your Lokal family are so proud of you! You’ve fought and competed well against the top teams in the league. We will come back stronger and better next time,” the team added.
