A 12-year-old boy, allegedly involved in the abduction of a five-year-old girl, was shot to death on the corner of Cuadra-Locsin Streets in Bacolod City’s Barangay 21 early Saturday morning, July 13.

The victim, alias Macoy, a resident of the city’s Barangay Singcang-Airport, succumbed to wounds on his head.

He was declared dead on arrival at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.

An empty shell from a .9mm caliber pistol was recovered from the crime scene.

An initial police investigation revealed that the still unidentified suspect passed by the victim and shot him.

Police said they are already coordinating with establishments near the crime scene for any copies of closed-circuit television footage.

The victim was identified as one of the suspects in the abduction of a girl at Barangay Zone 10 in Negros Occidental’s Talisay City last July 1.

He was suspected to be suffering from mental illness.

An investigation is ongoing./JB, WDJ
