Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) director, Brigadier General Jack Wanky said there is no need for loyalty checks among police personnel in the region following reports of an alleged destabilization plot against President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
“We are a professional organization, and we do not need loyalty checks,” Wanky said during the command conference at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office headquarters in Bacolod City on Friday, May 17.
“Let us remain professional, and we should be contented,” he added.
Wanky also discouraged police personnel from entertaining topics about destabilization.
The PRO-6 director instead urged them to continue their efforts in upholding the law and maintaining peace and order in the region.
Earlier, the Philippine National Police denied any destabilization plots among its ranks, stating that this could not escape the validation efforts of their intelligence units./JB, WDJ
