Bacolod City Legal Office (CLO) head Atty. Romeo Carlos Ting, Jr. said yesterday the city hall employee allegedly involved in falsifying a receipt has resigned from her post.

Ting said the employee, assigned to the Bacolod City Traffic Authority Office (BTAO), submitted her resignation letter on April 26.

Earlier, Ting said a show-cause order would be issued against the employee, pending an investigation into the incident.

Jose Antonio Robello, BTAO deputy officer-in-charge, said a traffic violator earlier complained that he received the alleged falsified official receipt from the employee.

He was apprehended by BTAO for not wearing a helmet and no driver’s license on April 18.

Robello said the violator paid P1,300, but the receipt only showed P300.

The cashier allegedly wrote the number “1” to make the amount appear as P1,300./JB, WDJ
