Jarvey Gayoso converted four goals as Kaya Futbol Club-Iloilo scored a dominant 12-0 victory over Don Bosco Garelli FC in the 2024 Philippines Football League (PFL) at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium on Saturday night, April 13.

The Philippine men’s national football team mainstay converted in the eighth, 67th, 86th, and 90+2 minutes as the Iloilo City-based booters secured the top spot with six points and with a +14 goal difference.

“I’m very satisfied. I understand you have appointed one [Man of the Match], but the scoreline reflects the overall performance and effort of the team,” Gayoso said.

“They all deserve to be acknowledged,” he added.

Kaishu Yamazaki, Shuto Komaki, Ilonggo Jan Jesus Melliza, and Robert Lopez Mendy contributed two goals apiece for Kaya-Iloilo, which equaled the second-highest scoring margin in PFL history.

Kaya-Iloilo jumped to a quick 3-0 lead with connections from Yamazaki, Komaki and Gayoso.

It grew to 6-0 at the half with consecutive points from Yamazaki, Komaki and Melliza.

The goal spree continued in the second half with Lopez Mendy, Gayoso and Melliza converting each in the 68th minute before Kaya-Iloilo ended the rout with another Lopez Mendy hit and back-to-back scores from Gayoso.

Meanwhile, Stallion-Laguna FC tied Kaya-Iloilo with six points but only with +12 goal difference following a 5-0 beating of Loyola Football Club, which suffered their second defeat of the season.

Juan Diego Galeana Trujillo and Griffin McDaniel spearheaded the attack with two goals each, while Junior Ngong Sam added another one as Stallion-Laguna secured their second victory in as many games.
