The Negros Occidental provincial government will launch the 28th Panaad sa Negros Festival on March 18 at 4:00 p.m. at the Provincial Capitol Park and Lagoon, provincial tourism officer Cheryl Decena confirmed yesterday.
“Yes, we are ready for the launching this Monday. We are anticipating a significant turnout as we have been building excitement with our various partners and activities each year,” Decena said.
The launching will also feature Lin-ay Sang Negros candidates for the sashing ceremony, alongside other performances.
This year’s Panaad sa Negros will highlight the provincial government’s collaboration with the farmers’ association Multi-Sectoral Alliance for Development, as part of their commitment to food security.
With the theme “Living the Promise,” the annual festival aims to showcase how Negrenses live up to their promises.
