A total of P686,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from two drug buy-bust operations in Bacolod City.

Authorities confiscated suspected shabu worth P346,800 from 32-year-old Nelbert Rivera at Purok San Sebastian in Bacolod City’s Barangay Sum-ag around 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9.

Nine plastic sachets containing a total of 51 grams of suspected shabu, along with P1,000 buy-bust money and P100 cash were recovered from the suspect, a resident of Barangay Tabunan in Negros Occidental’s Bago City.

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Geronimo dela Cena of Barangay 27’s Purok Rizal, was arrested in a separate buy-bust operation at Purok Avocado in the city’s Barangay 20 on Friday night, March 8.

A total of 50 grams of suspected shabu amounting to P340,000 was seized.

They are set to face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./JB, WDJ
