Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said yesterday that the 28th Panaad sa Negros Festival will be held from April 15 to 21.
Lacson said he is currently coordinating with Provincial Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena for festival arrangements.
Lacson confirmed that a series of meetings will be held in the coming weeks to come up with the required budget.
The governor also clarified that the subsidies provided by the provincial government to each local government unit (LGU) will be allocated for this year’s festival.
He believes in LGUs’ cooperation for the success of the festivities.
The one-week long Panaad sa Negros Festival is dubbed as the “Festival of all Festivals” in Negros Occidental, as 31 participating LGUs will feature the best they could offer from culture, sports, food, and tourism./DGB, WDJ
