The office of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) in Negros Occidental’s Isabela town was allegedly ransacked by unidentified individuals late Sunday night, December 17.
Isabela police chief, Captain Ar-jay Dangarang, said the village tanods of Barangay Bulad discovered the office had been ransacked.
The tanods said computers, keyboards and system units inside the office were either damaged or destroyed.
Some office files were found crumpled and torn apart.
The police are now conducting an investigation.
Meanwhile, in a statement released on social media, the SK officers in Barangay Bulad condemned the incident.
“The SK council and barangay officials are doing our best to ensure that we provide quality services to our constituents. Hence, we look forward to receiving the respect that we deserve. However, there are people who wish nothing but harm, disrespect and destruction,” they said./DGB, WDJ
