The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) warned its personnel not to engage in indiscriminate firing during the holiday season.
NOCPPO spokesperson, Police Major Rhojn Darrel Nigos, said all city and municipal police stations in the province have already scheduled their respective muzzle taping of weapons for the coming days.
Muzzle taping is expected to prevent police officers from discharging their weapons illegally during the Christmas season and the New Year.
Nigos reminded police personnel that they should be responsible for using their service firearms.
He added that any police officer who fires their weapon indiscriminately will face appropriate criminal and administrative charges./DGB, WDJ
