Meanwhile, Deanna Wong displayed her efficient ball distribution as she tallied 24 excellent sets to be named Player of the Game for the Flying Titans, which will enter the semifinals as the no. 2 seed team.
“It’s the system and the teamwork we have learned during training,” Wong, who also had three points in the game, said.
“We’ll do our best in the semis and let’s see what happens,” she added.
By flaunting their vaunted firepower, the Flying Titans showcased not just their technical skills, but also their strategic brilliance, keeping them on track for a possible crack at a first-ever PVL championship.
“Thankful [ako] sa naging performance. Kami talaga nag-dictate ng tempo sa first two sets,” Choco Mucho coach Dante Alinsunurin said.
“Sa third set andun din kami. Medyo kumapit din ng bandang huli ang team. Lahat ng gusto naming mangyari, nakuha namin,” he added.
Eya Laure finished with 15 points. Mylene Paat added eight markers, while llonggas Princess Anne Robles and Ma. Shaya Adorador combined for 12 markers as the Crossovers dropped to 8-3.
Meanwhile, the Nxled Chameleons wrapped up their maiden PVL conference with a 25-22, 17-25, 25-20, 25-17 triumph over the Farm Fresh Foxies, as they ended up with a 4-7 record.
Camille Victoria went on to finish with 17 points, including 12 attacks and five blocks, to lead the Foxies while showcasing her versatility by shifting from opposite spiker to middle blocker.
“I’m thankful to coach [Taka Minowa] for giving me the opportunity to help the team by playing two positions,” Victoria said.
“We were so excited [to play] since this is our last game, and we really wanted to show what we worked hard for,” she added./ASC, WDJ
