The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation in Negros Occidental successfully elected their new president yesterday morning.
Mayvelyn Madrid, 22 years old, SK chairperson in San Carlos City’s Barangay 5, who ran unopposed, officially took her oath alongside the new set of provincial SK Federation officers before Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
Madrid will be the ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP).
She is an agricultural business graduate from the Central Philippine State University in San Carlos.
Among the programs Madrid is now lining up upon her assumption as SP member include free printing services to minimize school expenses for students.
