The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) conducted simulation exercises (simex) yesterday, in preparation for the MassKara Festival 2023 and the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections this month.

The simulation was held at the BCPO grounds.

BCPO director, Police Colonel Noel Aliño said the exercises will determine the preparedness of the local police in emergency response to hostage taking, robbery, shooting, and bombing incidents.

“Makita niyo naman na prepared kami. Sabi nila saving lives ang priority. ‘Pag may pagkakataon mabuhay, dapat syempre bubuhayin natin,” Aliño said.

The police director also warned criminals, saying “huwag na kayo pupunta dito kasi madi-disgrasya kayo sa BCPO.”

Aliño said the city police’s performance was good, stating the simulation exercises should be done regularly.

A send off ceremony of the security personnel for MassKara will be held today.

A “salubong” countdown to kick-off the festivities will be on Friday night, October 6./MS, WDJ
