A woman was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Guinhalaran in Negros Occidental’s Silay City on Thursday night, September 28.

Silay police recovered 12 plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P95,200 from 31-year-old Elizabeth Bermejo, a resident of the said place.

She was arrested for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Bermejo’s father, 72-year-old Apolinario, was also arrested for obstruction of justice, as he allegedly threatened the authorities during the operation.
