The Negros Occidental provincial government is now preparing the Paglaum Sports Stadium in Bacolod City for the MassKara Festival in October.

Provincial administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said he is awaiting the formal letter from Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez to allow the use of the stadium for the MassKara Arena Dance Competition.

Diaz said the use of Paglaum Stadium would be for free.

He added that he had already attended a meeting with the festival organizer, the Bacolod Yuhum Foundation, and city government officials as part of preparations for the festivities.

They are prepared to assign more manpower and security personnel for the safety of the festival goers.

Diaz added that there won’t be a MassKara sa Panaad for this year, as it is already too late to add the event to the festival’s schedule of activities./DGB, WDJ
