The rice distribution for registered residents of Bacolod City will resume this Saturday, September 16, after at least 40 percent of beneficiaries have yet to receive the assistance.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez said another round of rice distribution will be conducted so that others can also avail.
The city government will also put up an additional distribution center at Arao Relocation Site in Barangay Vista Alegre, aside from several schools designated as distribution centers.
Each beneficiary will get two kilos of rice.
City records showed that 252,634, or 60 percent, of the total 344,000 target beneficiaries have already received assistance.
Benitez said he hopes that target beneficiaries will reach at least 80 percent after the distribution this weekend.
He explained the remaining 20 percent are most likely residing in the subdivisions.
