A man is now in a stable condition after he was allegedly hacked by his brother inside their home at Barangay Minoyan in Negros Occidental’s Murcia town on Thursday morning, September 7.

A police investigation showed 23-year-old Joemel Rebuca was allegedly hacked by 26-year-old Jojie using a 23-inch bolo.

Joemel sustained a hacked wound in his mouth.

He was taken to the Murcia Rural Health Unit for medical treatment.

The suspect surrendered to the police, bringing with him the bolo.

Police are yet to determine what caused the hacking./MS, WDJ
