The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) has put up Bacolod Police Public Assistance Desks (B-PAD) in strategic areas in the city.

BCPO director, Police Colonel Noel Aliño said there are 25 B-PADs that have been put up near schools, call center buildings, markets, and hospitals across the city last week.

Two police personnel will be assigned to each assistance desk, and they will be in their respective posts from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.

“It is manned by personnel or focal persons trained to promptly cater to the needs of the public,” Aliño said.

These personnel will undergo training to courteously answer calls and queries from the public, assist and process requests for assistance, and give proper advice on relevant matters.

“Through B-PAD, police officers can also quickly respond to crime incidents,” Aliño said.

He said B-PAD will serve as an expansion and extension of BCPO, and the deployment of police officers to different desks will ensure access to police services is within reach.

He added that the assistance desks ensure timely police response and service in times of need.

“Through B-PAD, members of the community may seek immediate police assistance, report incidents of crimes, violence and other occurrences that disturb the peace and order in their respective areas,” he added./MS, WDJ
