A member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) community was found dead in Bacolod City’s Barangay Villamonte early yesterday morning.

Authorities identified the fatality as 37-year-old Jury Orario, a resident of the said place.

Police Station 4 commander, Captain Francis Depasucat, said they currently have three persons of interest in the killing, all of whom were associated with the victim.

He said they had received reports that Orario was allegedly involved in the sale of illegal drugs.

They are presently verifying if the victim was on the drug watchlist.

Police are also eyeing illegal drugs as the motive behind the LGBTQ member’s death.

Orario’s remains were found at 3:30 a.m. on St. Francis Street in Greensville 2 Subdivision.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office responded together with the police, but Orario was declared dead on the spot by paramedics.

No signs of injuries were found on the victim, except for the blood on his head.

The remains will undergo autopsy to determine the cause of death./DGB, WDJ
