An estimated P13.7 million worth of suspected shabu was seized during a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Palampas in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City yesterday afternoon.

Police identified the arrested suspects as 34-year-old John Valentin Remegio, a resident of Barangay Caingin in Iloilo City’s La Paz District; and 27-year-old Crismark Blancaflor of Barangay Poblacion in Iloilo province’s Bingawan town.

Police Captain Judesses Catalogo, spokesperson for the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, said the operatives seized three heat-sealed and two vacuum-sealed plastic bags containing suspected shabu.

Also confiscated from the suspects were a black sling bag and a red eco-bag, and buy-bust money amounting to P10,000.

Cops also confiscated the suspects’ sports utility vehicle.

Police are now investigating where the seized narcotics originated.
