The installation of solar lights and a pets corner at the Negros Occidental Capitol Park and Lagoon is being eyed by the provincial government.

Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz revealed that solar lights will be installed in the park’s playground area after Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson expressed worry over the safety of the children playing during the early evening.

Diaz said there are several lights installed in the area.

However, some of them have broken light bulbs.

He said he and the governor will use their own personal funds for the installation of solar lights.

Diaz also revealed plans to create a “pets corner” on the park grounds for pet lovers, as some wanted to have their pets on the premises.

Currently, it is prohibited due to the possible risk it poses to other park goers.

The provincial government is considering the possibility of turning the skateboarding area in the lagoon into a “pets corner” to provide a spacious area for pets./DGB, WDJ
