A Grade 9 student and his companion were nabbed for alleged robbery at Barangay Asia in Negros Occidental’s Hinoba-an town on Saturday night, August 5. 

The suspects were a 15-year-old boy, whose identity is being withheld, and 20-year-old Reynald Guanzon, a resident of the town’s Barangay Bacuyangan.

Police said the suspects were caught allegedly destroying a PesoNet Wi-Fi box inside the store.

Recovered from them were coins amounting to P952, two kitchen knives, a screw driver, and an ice pick.

Guanzon was detained in the police station, while the minor was turned over to the custody of the local Social Welfare and Development office./MS, WDJ
