A senior citizen was found dead in a river at Barangay Antipuluan in Negros Occidental’s Bago City on Tuesday, August 1.

City police chief, Major Rudy Mariano, said 63-year-old Martin Dupal-ong, a resident of the city’s Barangay Abuanan, went missing for more than a month.

The victim allegedly drowned in a river on June 20, Mariano said.

Dupal-ong was later found on top of a pile of stones and was in an advanced state of decomposition.

He was identified by his children./WDJ
