Delivery man gunned down

A delivery man of a store which sells liquefied petroleum gas was shot to death by a still unidentified suspect on Saturday night, July 22.

Kimbert Apatan, 30 years old, a resident of Don Salvador Benedicto town’s Barangay Bunga, was having dinner with his live-in partner inside the store along Eco-Tourism Highway in Barangay Palampas, when a motorcycle-riding gunman shot him in the head, police said.

He was rushed to the hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

Two empty .45 caliber cartridge cases were recovered from the crime scene.

An investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile, in the city’s Barangay Buluangan, 30-year-old Jose Padayogdog was also gunned down on Friday, July 21.

San Carlos City police said Padayogdog sustained a gunshot wound to his back.

Authorities identified the suspect as Jerry Planas of the city’s Barangay Rizal.

The victim was declared dead at the San Carlos City Hospital, police said./WDJ
