Thirteen football teams will compete for the championship crown in the Bacolod Football League (BFL), the newest football league in the city, which kicked off on Sunday, July 16.
BFL coordinator Jeffrey Velez said the league aims to continue the development of football skills among the youth and will raise the level in Bacolod and Negros Occidental by staging regular competitions.
League organizers said the competition will run until August 21 at the Bacolod City National High School, and will feature 13 teams under two age categories.
Teams 6100 First Touch, Bago City FC, Sidlak Victorias, Ramses Mandirigma, ETCS1, Rizal FC, USLS, and Legacy Aspin FC will compete in the Under-12 category, while 6100 First Touch, Mandirigma, USLS, Legacy Aspin FC, and Domingo Lacson National High School will clash in Under-16 boys category./WDJ
