Five residents of Bacolod City’s Barangay Tangub were apprehended during a drug buy-bust operation by operatives of Police Station 8.

This resulted in the recovery of nine plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P68,000.

Arrested were 40-year-old Jose dela Cruz; his two younger brothers, 30-year-old Jove and 27-year-old Jude; 32-year-old Abudio Castañeda III; and 24-year-old Ana Mae Dalisay.

The police buy-bust operation was conducted at 12:49 a.m. yesterday.

The suspects, identified as street level individuals, were detained in the police station.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects./MS, WDJ
