A bike rider died following a road mishap at Barangay Taloc in Negros Occidental’s Bago City on Thursday, July 6.

Bago police chief, Lt. Colonel Joem Malong said 22-year-old Kevin Casabuena, a resident of Bacolod City’s Barangay Sum-ag, was hit by a motorcycle and then run over by a pick-up truck around 1:00 a.m.

Malong said the victim was about to make a turn but he was hit by a motorcycle.

He and motorcycle rider Ariel Remegio Jr. of Bago’s Barangay Sampinit, threw off their vehicles.

A pick-up truck tailing the motorcycle then ran over Casabuena, Malong said.

The police chief added that the truck did not stop.

Remegio was also wounded and was confined in a private hospital, while Casabuena was dead on arrival./WDJ
