Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Colonel Noel Aliño is currently lobbying for an additional police station in the city as part of its fight against criminality.
In a radio interview over 96.7 XFM Bacolod yesterday, Aliño explained that the creation of Police Station 11 would be a difficult move for the BCPO, but it is highly possible.
He said they will undergo a lot of processes before the new police station can be created.
The new police station would also need funding and the donation of land.
He added that he is currently proposing the creation of Police Station 11 before Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and to the highest officials of the Philippine National Police.
Meanwhile, to help deter criminality in Bacolod, Aliño said they have set up police outposts in various parts of the city.
Each outpost has six police personnel assigned.
At present, the BCPO has a total of 10 police stations./DGB, WDJ
