A 47-year-old resident of Negros Occidental’s Pulupandan town was allegedly mauled to death in Bago City’s Barangay Poblacion.
Bago police chief, Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong said Roggie Mar Tiolo and his brother were in a drinking session inside a convenience store at around 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, when the suspects arrived.
Due to drunkenness, Tiolo might have uttered words which led to a commotion, Malong said.
His brother pacified the commotion, and the suspects immediately fled.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
In a hot pursuit operation, the city police arrested brothers Edmark and Jed Arangote, both residents of Barangay Lag-asan; Dennis delos Reyes and Novi Vagallon.
Homicide charges will be filed against them, police said./WDJ
