Around P680,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from a high-value individual (HVI) drug suspect in Bacolod City’s Barangay Handumanan on Thursday, June 8. 

Police Captain Joven Mogato of the Bacolod City Drug Enforcement Unit, apprehended the suspect, 55-year-old Jomarie Tapalla, a resident of the said place.

Tapalla is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or  the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.

He was detained at Police Station 10.

BCPO acting city director, Colonel Noel Aliño, said a tactical interrogation on the suspect is ongoing to locate the source of illegal drugs, links and accomplices for follow-up operation./MS, WDJ
