A motorcycle rider died on the spot after he was run over by a truck at Barangay Rizal in Negros Occidental’s San Carlos City on Wednesday, May 31.

City police chief, Lieutenant Colonel Jesus Mesahon Jr., said 26-year-old Jesse Auditor of Barangay Nataban, was riding on a motorcycle driven by his younger brother Alex.

The motorcycle hit the left side of the truck carrying frozen products, Mesahon said.

The brothers were tailing the truck when they overtook it on a curved road.

However, they saw a car approaching on the opposite lane.

They returned to their lane, but they hit the van.

Auditor was run over by the truck, while his brother was unharmed, Mesahon said.

The police chief said the truck driver was released from police custody after the initial settlement with the family of the victim./WDJ
