A decapitated newly-born baby boy was found on the seashore of Barangay Tabao Proper in Negros Occidental’s Valladolid town on Tuesday night, May 23.

According to police, the baby’s remains were found by children at the time.

Police said the remains were not yet in a state of decomposition and his umbilical cord was still attached.

The remains were turned over to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office for proper disposition.

Authorities tried to conduct a search in the area for the remaining body part, but it turned out negative.

Police are now investigating the incident./MS, WDJ
