The suspect in incest rape has regretted the crimes he committed against his 11-year-old daughter in Negros Occidental’s Talisay City.

The 32-year-old suspect, whom police have requested not to identify, said he missed his former wife, the reason why he molested his own daughter.

He said he regretted his actions and apologized not only to his daughter and ex-wife, but also to his parents and siblings whom he brought to shame.

He added that he would accept any punishment against him by the court of law due to his actions.

Talisay City deputy police chief, Major Karina Onio, said the suspect has already undergone inquest proceedings.

Onio said they also consulted the 11-year-old victim and she claimed to have been molested by her father for four years.

When she finally had enough, she managed to get in contact with her mother asking her to be rescued.

Her mother reported to the police, which led to the suspect’s arrest.

The suspect is detained at the Talisay City Police Station.

Onio said, as a standard operating procedure, the daughter was immediately subjected to a medical check-up.

Medical examiners noted that the victim was five-months pregnant and had lacerations./DGB, WDJ
