Around 70 individuals were arrested for allegedly being involved in illegal cockfighting in Negros Occidental’s E.B. Magalona town on Saturday morning, April 29.

Town police station and the 605th Regional Mobile Force Battalion conducted the operation at 11:50 a.m. in Barangay San Isidro.

The suspects were all residents of the town’s Barangay Consing.

Recovered from the suspects were 18 game fowls, P2,948 bet money and some paraphernalia.

They are currently in the custody of the local police station and were facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449./MS, WDJ
