A laborer was shot to death for unknown reasons at Barangay Carabalan in Negros Occidental’s Himamaylan City on Wednesday afternoon, April 19.

The 36-year old Regie Soledad of the said locality, succumbed to gunshot wounds to the head and his back.

Police identified the suspects as Dandy Salvador and Jun Jun Balsimo, of legal age and residents of the said village.

The initial investigation disclosed that Soledad was with his family at the plaza when the suspects approached and shot him without any provocation.

The suspects fled after the incident, going to the village’s Santo Tapol, police said.

Soledad was taken to Governor Valeriano M. Gatuslao Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival./MS, WDJ
