Six residents of Bacolod City were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Guinhalaran in Negros Occidental’s Silay City on Sunday afternoon, March 19.

Arrested were 30-year-old Christopher Hermosura, 27-year-old Terrence Yap, 26-year-old Hamnon Mirza, 24-year-old Lean Franz Rom Javelosa, 28-year-old Gerard John Elarmo, and 24-year-old Daryl Almeiz.

An estimated five grams of suspected shabu worth P54,400; P4,500 buy bust money; a car; and illegal drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspects.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against them./MS, WDJ
