A man was wounded after being stabbed by his live-in partner’s former boyfriend at Barangay Poblacion’s Purok Jasmin in Negros Occidental’s Valladolid town on February 19.
The victim was identified as Danny Boy Tamta, 32 years old, a resident of Victorias City’s Barangay 2, while the suspect was Richard Gayumali, 41 years old, of San Enrique town’s Barangay Road.
Valladolid police chief, Major Eric Doronilla said Tamta was heading home with his live-in partner, Ramela Salvador, when they saw Gayumali.
The suspect was under the influence of alcohol when the crime happened, Doronilla said.
Gayumali suddenly stabbed Tamta with a knife.
The victim sustained a wound in his right chest, and was rushed to a hospital in Bacolod City for treatment.
Gayumali was nabbed in Negros Oriental’s Canlaon City, and is now in the custodial facility of Valladolid police station./WDJ
