A grandmother was killed while her granddaughter was wounded after they were stabbed inside their home at Barangay Poblacion in Negros Occidental’s Cauayan town early yesterday morning.

Police identified the fatality as 61-year-old Nancy Oliverio, a retired teacher.

The cops refused to identify the granddaughter, who is still a minor.

Based on an investigation by the Cauayan Municipal Police Station, the still unidentified suspect broke inside their house through the ceiling which was under repair, and stabbed the victims.

Oliverio was declared dead on the spot.

The suspect immediately fled after the stabbing.
