A man was shot dead by his drinking partner after allegedly running amok at Barangay Gil Montilla in Negros Occidental’s Sipalay City on Monday night, January 30.

Police identified the fatality as Marvin Amalla, a resident of the city’s Barangay San Jose.

Based on initial investigation by the police, Amalla and the 32-year-old Ryan Bandiola went to the house of Rommel Bandiola for a drinking session.

A few hours later, Amalla allegedly ran amok, prompting Ryan to shoot and stab the victim.

Ryan was arrested, and it was found that he had a pending arrest warrant for murder./DGB, WDJ
