A fish vendor was found dead in an empty lot at Hacienda Guanzon in Bacolod City’s Barangay Mansilingan yesterday morning.

Police identified the fatality as 22-year-old Henry Paul Bombate, a resident of Sitio Sibucao in the city’s Barangay Banago, and a vendor at Central Market.

Based on information released by Police Station 7, Bombate’s body was found at around 7:20 a.m.

He was found hogtied and blindfolded with duct tape and had multiple gunshot wounds all over his body.

The victim was later identified by his sister.

Police Station 7 commander, Major Elmer Bonilla said Bombate had a previous drug-related charge when he was arrested in a buy-bust operation in 2019.

The victim had just been released six months ago, his family said.

They said he had left his house on Thursday morning, January 26, and did not say where he was going, and failed to return that night.

Bombate’s family also claimed that the victim’s mobile wallet account had an unauthorized cash out transaction, amounting to P3,900.

Police are still continuing their investigation to the incident./DGB, WDJ
