A security guard was shot dead by still unidentified assailants in Bacolod City’s Barangay Taculing at around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10.

Police Station 6 identified the fatality as Joserey Jaranilla, 51 years old, a resident of the village’s Purok Planeta.

The victim succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

Footage from the closed-circuit television (CCTV) showed the victim going home from work when a vehicle and a motorcycle were tailing him.

Several empty shells of calibers .45, .22 and .9mm were recovered at the crime scene on Mercury Street in Puentebella Subdivision.

No suspects have so far been identified./MS, WDJ
