Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo Benitez joined the delegation of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.’s official state visit to the People’s Republic of China.

According to Benitez, he was honored to be part of the delegation and they were warmly welcomed by the Chinese upon their arrival in Beijing.

He said he will try to look for potential Chinese investors who may be willing to invest in Bacolod.

Among the investors he is trying to court include those involved in agriculture, tourism and renewable energy.

Benitez is also planning to market the city to Chinese tourists, pointing out that when it comes to tourist destinations in the Philippines, they only know about Manila or Boracay.

The mayor also affirmed that Marcos may be heading home possibly today./DGB, WDJ
