A property worth P300,000 was gutted by a fire that broke out at Glendale Subdivision in Bacolod City’s Barangay Granada, on Monday night, January 2.

Godofredo Peña, Jr., 78 years old, the occupant and lessor of the house, sustained first degree burns on his right ear, neck and right arm.

Meanwhile, the house owned by Carmela Sanchez was “totally damaged,” the Bureau of Fire Protection in Bacolod said.

The blaze lasted for almost 30 minutes.

Investigators have yet to determine what caused the blaze./DGB, WDJ
