Three people suffered minor burns after their house caught fire in Bacolod City’s Barangay 16 during the celebration of New Year’s Day.

Authorities identified the three as Maricel and Marcial Española, both 41 years old; and 18-year-old Junel Española, all residents of the said place.

Based on information released by the Bureau of Fire Protection in Bacolod, they received a fire call that a house owned by a certain Cezar Jeronga caught fire at Purok Paloma in the said village.

Firefighters immediately raced to the scene and they managed to douse the blaze only a few minutes after they arrived.

The house was partially damaged by the fire.
